On April 19, 2025, our precious Marian Koontz Hansen took her final breath and stepped over onto the streets of gold.

She ran into the arms of Jesus, and is celebrating a tremendous reunion with her husband, her parents, siblings, and so many loved ones.  We can only imagine the Easter celebration they had!  Although our hearts are broken and we already miss you like crazy, we can't deny that you lived your 101 years to the absolute fullest.  You loved us with everything in you and we can easily say we will see you again.  You have left an amazing legacy and we are all so proud that we belong to you.  We love you, and until we meet again, we know you are smiling down on us with full adoration.  Peace is now yours.

Marian Hansen is preceded in death by her parents Herman G. Koontz and Zelda Griffith Koontz, her siblings Eleanor Neal (George), Mae Harding (Warren), Marvin Koontz (Margaret), Roy Koontz (Ellen), her husband James F. Hansen, and her son James H. Hansen (Diana).

She is survived by her son William H. Hansen (Svetlana), her daughter Bonnie H. Floyd (Mike), and multiple grandchildren, great-grand children, and great-great-grand children.

She was a long time member of Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, Ladies Oriental Shrine, White Shrine, W.O.W., NTC-National Traveling Campers, and NCHA-National Campers and Hikers Association.  She worked for Civil Service and Parisians for many years.

Visitation for Marian will be held on Monday, April 28th, from 2-3pm at Berryhill Funeral Home, in Huntsville, AL. Service will follow at 3pm at Berryhill.
