Marilyn Cobb Ratliff, 80, of Meridianville, passed away on June 14, 2025

Marilyn was born August 28, 1944 in Huntsville, Al, the daughter of James and Gertrude Cobb

Marilyn was a beloved member of Hillwood Baptist Church, where she found strength and community. She had a deep love for gardening, tending to her plants with the same care and attention she gave to everyone around her. Marilyn delighted in spending time crafting with her sister, Carolyn, creating lasting memories and beautiful projects together. She was also a devoted caretaker to her uncle, Roy Baker, offering him compassion and support through the years. With a heart that was as big as it was generous, Marilyn was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, offering kindness and support without hesitation.

Remaining to cherish Marilyn's memory are her children, Chris Ratliff (spouse Dani Ratliff) and Michelle Thompson (spouse Kevin Thompson); grandsons, Jacob and Cody Thompson; sister Carolyn Nation; nephews, Eric and Mark Nation (spouse Jennifer Nation).

Marilyn's heart overflowed with grace, and her spirit was always altruistic. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 19th from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home, followed by service at 1:00.  Rev. Jeff Smith and Rev. Rob Peavy will be officiating.  Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery.
