Mark Anthony Schoen, 52, of Harvest, Alabama, passed away on August 18, 2026.
Born on December 20, 1973, Mark lived a life full of adventure, laughter, and deep love for his family. Mark was an amazing husband, father, brother, son, and friend. He graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Management Information Systems and went on to build a respected career as a Senior Audio/Video Engineer, working as a contractor for NASA, a role that reflected both his technical skill and his quiet pride in contributing to something bigger than himself.
Mark was known for his quick wit and love for a good prank, always ready with a joke or a harmless scheme to keep the people around him laughing. He was also known for his patience, the kind that showed up in the everyday moments with the people he loved. Mark loved running the sound board on Sunday mornings at Grace United Methodist Church. He cherished time outdoors, hunting, camping, and spending time out on the water fishing, canoeing, and kayaking.
He was a devoted Cleveland Guardians fan and never missed a chance to cheer on the Auburn Tigers. At home, he loved cooking, gaming, listening to music, and spoiling his two German Shorthaired Pointers, Avery and Pearl.
Mark is survived by his wife, Eva; children, Tyler and Chloe; mother, Sue Schoen; sister, Dee-Anne Schoen; and niece, Danielle Alexander.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Schoen.
Mark will be remembered for his warmth, his sense of adventure, and the love he gave his family. He leaves behind a legacy of joy, generosity, and memories made both at home and outdoors.
A service celebrating Mark's life will be held on Saturday, August 29th at 12:00 PM at Sharon Johnston Park in the outdoor chapel, with visitation to follow. Guests are welcome to dress however they are most comfortable.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Mark's memory.
