Mary Laster Willis Allison, age 80, of Huntsville, peacefully passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family,.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Laster L. Willis and Charlsie Wilkerson Willis; her daughter, Donna Marie Allison; her sister Clara Ann Willis, and her grandparents, Clara Arnold and William Howard Wilkerson, and Leora Lasater and Thomas Anderson Willis. She was also preceded in death by her beloved aunts and uncles: Kate Willis Knox (Knoxie), Dorothy Willis Barth (Clinton), Polly Wilkerson Kirk (Charlie), J.B. "BeBe" Willis (Lillian), Everett Willis, Howard Wilkerson (Mildred), Newel Wilkerson (Lucy), and Bob Wilkerson (Gladis).
Mary is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Don Allison; her daughters, Kim Moody (Ron) and Amanda Carlisle (Chris); grandchildren: Brian Moody (Hannah), Allison Rexrode (Cody), Brandon Carlisle (Tori), Kyle Edwards (Hannah), and Katie Edwards; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Ella Frances Edwards, Oliver Edwards, Hadley Edwards, Ezra Edwards, Jackson Rexrode, and Emerson Rexrode. She is also survived by her sister Dorothy (Dottie) Kate Willis McCallie and a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends, including special friends and caregivers Jana, Amber, Alyce, Sarah, Shirley and LeShan.
Mary was born on August 1, 1945, in Chattanooga and attended Stevenson High School. She was a faithful member of Stevenson Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Lovingly known as "Mimmie" by her grandchildren and "Mama Mary" to many who knew and loved her, Mary devoted her life to her family. She rarely missed an opportunity to support her children and grandchildren, making countless road trips to attend sporting events, dance recitals, and any activity that brought her family joy.
Mary will be remembered for her generous heart, warm spirit, and unwavering love for those around her. She touched the lives of many, and her absence leaves a tremendous void. She truly exemplified a life well lived and will be deeply missed as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Mary also had a passion for gardening and was known for her remarkable green thumb. She loved working in the yard and tending to her many flowers. Her gardens reflected the same care and love she gave to her family.
Visitation will be held at Berryhill Funeral Home on Sunday, February 22nd, Noon - 2 PM. A second visitation will be held at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL Monday February 23rd, Noon - 2 PM with a service to follow. Burial will be in Stevenson City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's memory to Huntsville Hospital Foundation for Hospice Family Care.
