Melissa Rene Mahan ,age 58, of Guntersville, AL, entered into her eternal home on February 12, 2024 at Huntsville Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born January 17, 1966 in Tennessee to father Charles Paul Hughey and mother Margaret Ann Carr, who are waiting in Heaven to receive their precious daughter.

She is survived by her two children, Jessica Hughey and Johnathon Ray Self, who will greatly miss their mother. She is also survived by her sister and two brothers Kathy Jackson (David), Charles S. Rogers Jr, (Angie) and Christopher "Shawn" Hughey (Alice)

Also remaining to remember her love, her beautiful smile and kindness are her grandchildren Peyton Eggleston, Aleigha Self, Jathan Hughey, Davion Marks and Cayson Hamlin.

She is also survived by special friend Terry Jackson of Grant, AL , her precious fur baby Scooter, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
