Michael Allen Carty, 74, of Huntsville, AL, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025.

Mike was a joy to be around with his captivating smile. He was a proud father and grandfather and had a knack for sharing memories through his storytelling and laughter. Mike was a Navy veteran, and following the Navy, he continued his service to our nation as a federal employee with the U.S. Army. Mike was a master mechanic, an instructor pilot, and loved to repair and restore old vehicles and boats. He also enjoyed spending his time outdoors with boating, fishing, and hunting.

He is survived by his daughter Lori (Tom) and son James (Toni); his sisters Rhonda (Steve) and Lisa (Jeff); granddaughter, Avril; and the mother of his children, Barbara.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Harold and Betty Carty; his sister Deborah; and his brother David.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
