It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Myles Gifford Compton, beloved husband, father, brother, friend and Marine Corps veteran, who passed away on Friday, November 8th at the age of 42.

Born on January 18, 1982 in Springfield, MO Myles devoted much of his life to serving his country with honor and distinction. A proud member of the United States Marine Corps, he enlisted in 2002 and served with unwavering courage in support of operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, Vigilant Response, Iraqi Freedom II, and Iraqi Freedom 4-6. After 4 years of service and many decorations, medals, and badges, he was honorably discharged as Sergeant in the Marine Corps. He continued to serve his community as a dedicated family man and friend.

Myles' family, especially his wife, Kacey Compton, and children, Finley Claire Compton and Asher Wade Compton, were the center of his world. He was a loving father and husband, offering guidance, laughter, and endless love.
His legacy will live on through his children, and the countless lives he touched during his time on this earth.

Myles was preceded in death by both parents, Virginia Lucille Davidson Compton and John David Compton. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kacey, their children, Finley and Asher, his twin sister, Emily Compton LeBeau (Brad LeBeau) their boys Lucas and Logan, as well as many friends who cherished him.

A funeral service will be held at Berryhill Funeral Home in Huntsville, AL on November 15th. The family will receive friends and family from 2-4 with a military honors service to follow at 4. The family will gather at their neighborhood clubhouse at 6pm at 301 Brevard Blvd. Huntsville 35811 for a celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Bearded Warriors (beardedwarriors.org) or Warriors Helping Warriors (thewarriorsjourney.org) both organizations that were close to his heart.

Myles' deep love for his family will never be forgotten. He was a steadfast pillar in his children's lives and loved nothing more than cheering them on at all the things they loved. He will always be remembered as a man who served his country with pride and loved his family with all his heart.

May he rest in peace and may each person that knew and loved him carry on his legacy of love for his country and family.
