Myrna Loy Shrontz, 89, passed away peacefully at her home in Brownsboro, Alabama, on July 29, 2026. She drew her final breaths surrounded by love, with her sons, Chris and John, and her daughter-in-law, Denise, holding her close.

Born at home in California, Pennsylvania, on December 5, 1936, Myrna lived a long and meaningful life. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend who brought life and love to everyone who knew her. Her legacy of giving will live on through the many lives she touched.

She is survived by her loving family, including her son Chris and his wife Kathy; her son John and his wife Denise; her brother Loyal and his wife Patti; her sister Alice and her husband Alex; and her beloved aunt, Cam, who is 99 years old. Her greatest joy was her large family, and she leaves behind a legacy of 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one eagerly anticipated great-grandchild on the way.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alva Shrontz, and her parents, Preston Paul and Blanche Stickler.

Services will be held on September 5, 2026, at Berryhill Funeral Home, located at 2305 N Memorial Pkwy, Huntsville, AL 35810. Visitation will begin at 3:30 PM, followed by the funeral service at 4:30 PM. Burial will take place in Pennsylvania at a later date.
