Life Story
Nancy Ann Cooper was born in Wakefield, Rhode Island, to Chester and Emeline Knight. She was one of six children along with Janet, Linda, John, Jean, and Paul. She spent her childhood in Exeter, Rhode Island, where she attended North Kingstown High School.
In 1969, Nancy welcomed her first son, Dwayne Cooper, at the same hospital where she herself was born. A few years later, in 1972, she relocated to Huntsville, Alabama. There, in 1973, her second son, John Cooper, was born at Huntsville Hospital.
Her Career
Nancy spent her professional life in the printing industry, where she built a reputation for reliability, warmth, and dedication. Though she never sought the spotlight, her strong work ethic left a lasting impression—not only on her colleagues and clients, but also on her two sons. Whether managing operations or supporting administrative tasks, Nancy brought a personal touch to everything she did. Her career was a true reflection of her values: steadfast, generous, and quietly impactful.
Her Passions
Nancy had a deep appreciation for the simple joys in life. She loved collecting antiques and crackle glass, crocheting beautiful blankets, tending to her yard, and cooking. She also enjoyed the occasional trip to Tunica, where she'd try her luck at the slot machines with a playful spirit. She was an avid book reader and loved anything by Danielle Steele.
Her Greatest Joy
But above all, Nancy's greatest joy came from her grandchildren—Emmaline Cooper, lovingly named after Nancy's mother, and Marshall Cooper, named after his father. She never missed a birthday celebration and was always just a call away, ready to babysit or simply drop by to spend cherished time with her grandbabies. Her love for them was boundless and unwavering.
Nancy's life was filled with warmth, generosity, and devotion to family. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
