Opal Gentle, 91, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Saturday November 29, 2025. She was born on September 11th 1934, and lived a long, meaningful life rooted in unconditional love, strength, and unwavering faith. Opal was known for the way she loved--fully, fiercely, and without hesitation.  Friends and family were the most precious things to her.  She touched countless hearts and was deeply respected by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her four children: Deborah Burks, Beverly Stacey, Scott Gentle and Marcus Gentle, and by two grandchildren: Angela Stacey and Caleb Gentle.  She is survived by her grandchildren Shannon Burks, Anthony Stacey and his wife Michelle Stacey, and Paul Gentle and his wife Ashley Gentle, as well as her great-grandchildren: Maleah Stacey and Kellen Robinson, Haley Gentle, Jacob Gentle, Hunter Brough, Taylor Kwiatt, Tristan Gentle, Jesslyn Gentle, and Cody Stacey.

Her legacy is one of devotion to family, friends, and neighbors. Strength, perseverance and unconditional love were her greatest gifts.. Her spirit lives on in the lives of all those she loved, guided and cherished. A celebration of life honoring Opal's memory will take place in the Spring of 2026.  Details will be shared with family and friends as the date approaches and arrangements have been finalized.
