Obituary

Patricia Ruth Wilkinson Brown, born on January 5, 1937, in the serene countryside of King County, Washington, has lived a life filled with love, devotion, and service. She is the beloved daughter of Richard and Lily Davies Wilkinson, who instilled in her the values of kindness and generosity that she carried throughout her life.

On March 09, 1965, Pat married the love of her life, Thomas, affectionately known as Tom. Together, they embarked on a journey that would span decades, raising two wonderful children, Mark and Richard, and creating a home filled with laughter and warmth. Their life together was a testament to enduring love and partnership.

Patricia's career was marked by her dedication to education and her community. She taught first grade in Germany, a role she cherished while Tom served in the Army. Her passion for nurturing young minds was evident and left a lasting impact on her students. Upon retiring from AAA in 1984, Pat and Tom moved to Huntsville, where they continued to build their legacy.

Pat's commitment to her community extended beyond her professional life. She volunteered with the Huntsville Police Department as a Crisis Services Domestic Violence Responder, offering support and compassion to those in need. Her warm heart and radiant smile had a way of comforting those around her, creating a ripple of kindness that touched many lives.

Family was the cornerstone of Pat's life. Her cherished children, Mark and Richard “Rick” (Melody) brought her immense joy. Pat's legacy of love and warmth extends to her five grandchildren: Jessica Brown, Victoria Brown, Trey Brown, Garrett Brown, and Thomas Brown. Her sister, Doris Collis, also shares fond childhood memories.

Pat had a zest for life and a talent for baking, particularly during the festive season. Her Christmas goodies were a much-anticipated delight for family, friends, and first responders, a tradition that brought people together and filled their hearts with joy.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful caregivers at Home Instead and Hospice for their compassionate care and support.

A service to honor Patricia's remarkable life will be held m at Berryhill Funeral Home, located at 2305 N Memorial Parkway, Huntsville, AL 35810. The service will take place Monday, October 26, 2026, at 11:00 am, celebrating the indelible mark she has left on the world and the hearts she has touched; the family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice, continuing Pat's legacy of giving and compassion.

Patricia Wilkinson's life is a testament to the power of love, kindness, and service. Her spirit will be cherished and remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
