Paul Richard Turner, 72, of Owens Cross Roads, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

Born in Huntsville, Paul was an All City, All State, and All American football player. He played for his beloved Auburn Tigers. In addition, Paul was a member of the Sandy River Ramblers, an Irish group that played on the Burritt.

Paul was known for being a true friend and a caring man to all.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie; sister, Lynn Fortner; children, Jeremy Turner, Stephanie Kirby, and Stephen and Carrie Turner; grandchildren, Reese and Isla Kirby, Cullen Turner, and Abbey and Gage Liebrock; great-grandchild, Ada Mae Liebrock; and was a step-father to Justin and Matt Schuck, who both loved and honored him.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 30th, from 3:00-4:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home, with a celebration of life following at 4:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Burritt Museum.
