Pawel Maria Smierzchalski, 46, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025.

Pawel was born in Grodzisk WLKP, Poland. Pawel lived a life of hard work and fun, with a cigar in one hand and a beer in the other.  He loved America, watching football and his Polish traditions. He was a builder in every sense, working on the land, and shaping homes and rock walls.

Pawel was a kind and generous person and loved to be there to give a lending hand for his family and friends. His presence enriched the lives of everyone he knew, and he will be missed deeply.

Pawel is survived by his wife of six years, Maurita; sister, Kasia (George) Braswell; nephew, Gabriel Braswell; father, Janusz Smierzchalski.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Zdzislawa Grobelna Smierzchalska.

Mr. Smierzchalski's family will receive friends on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Berryhill Funeral Home from 3:00 to 6:00 PM.  A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date in Poland.
