Peggy King
Webb
September 12, 1936 – May 31, 2026
Peggy King Webb, age 89, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2026.
Born on September 12, 1936, in Tallulah, Louisiana, Peggy was the daughter of C.S. "Bud" King and Laverne King. She graduated from Tallulah High School and went on to earn her degree from Louisiana Tech University. Peggy dedicated much of her professional life to education, teaching at North Alabama College of Commerce and making a lasting impact on countless students throughout her career.
Peggy faithfully served for many years as pianist and organist at Bethany Baptist Church. Through her music ministry, she enriched the worship experience of her church family and shared her love of the Lord with those around her through music.
Peggy loved to travel when she had the chance. When she was not traveling, she treasured spending time with her family. She found great joy in her title of "Gran", loving and spoiling her grandchildren any chance that she could. She also enjoyed reading and working puzzles during her quiet moments.
She was preceded in death by her parents, C.S. "Bud" King and Laverne King; her son, Keith Adcock; and her sister, Linda Taylor.
She is survived by her son, Michael King Adcock, and daughter-in-law, Frances Woodley Adcock, along with many beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members, and friends who will cherish her memory and carry forward the legacy of love, faith, and kindness she leaves behind.
Peggy will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her steadfast faith, her witty and often sassy personality, and her ability to conjure joy and laughter in any situation.
Her immediate family will gather privately at a later date to lay her to rest at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, Alabama.
Though she has departed this earthly life, the memories she created and the lives she touched will remain a lasting blessing to all who knew and loved her.
