Portia Harris, 64, of Huntsville, passed away Saturday, January 30.

She was a native of Brooklyn, New York, she became a resident of Madison County in July 2020. Portia was a member of Holy Temple Church in Summerton, South Carolina.

Portia is survived by her daughter, Deborah Rixson (Rodney Turner); son, Sha-Ron Harris (Nakia); grandchildren, Jairell Rixson, Starquasia Butler, Kia'Ron Harris, Shakia Harris, and Nasha Harris; four great grandchildren; sister, Patricia Hendricks; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

No services are planned at this time. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
