RaDonna Lynn
McClure
May 13, 1970 — Jun 30, 2026
RaDonna Lyden McClure ("Rae Rae", "Donna", "Pixie", "Pee Pee", "Maw Maw", "MA"), a vibrant 56 year old from New Market, AL, peacefully croaked in her home on June 30, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and the thousands of frogs that she had collected through her life.
Born in May 13, 1970, in Greenfield, Indiana, to Jerretta and Richard Lyden, RaDonna entered the world alongside her twin sister to be numbers four and five to a spawn of six. She is survived by her mother and five siblings: Richard Lyden, Kayline Lyden, Dani Vann, twin pixie Ruthanna Arnold, and Joseph Lyden - as well as her two chosen sisters - Tina Anderson and Vivian Jones.
RaDonna had three children whom which she is survived by. She worked very hard for many years as a single mother to Joshua Lyden and JoAnna Sutton before being welcomed into the life of Brandy McClure. She sacrificed any and everything to ensure the well being and happiness of her children. Her love and dedication was unwavering and will forever etched into our hearts, as we continue to grow our families with spouses, Allison Lyden, Samuel Sutton and Scott McElyea.
Extending from her children, she is also survived by her grandchildren: Axel Simmons, Dylan Gibson, Kolby Butler, and Aubrey McElyea, whom filled her life with endless joy as some of her favorite people to love, laugh with and create memories for.
She is reunited in death with her husband, Robert McClure, likely starting right back in some playful argument that they may have left off at. Like in such a large family was full of laughter, chaos and stories that will be cherished and retold for generations.
RaDonna was not one to just sit quietly on her lilypad. She spoke her mind, brought laughter to those around her, and kept life interesting, regardless of others opinions. She was authentically herself, even up to her last croak.
For those who knew RaDonna, her love for frogs was not just a phase, but a defining aspect of her lifestyle. From trinkets, to decor, tattoos, attire...ever and any thing frog, she wanted it.
Besides her love for all things green or froggy, RaDonna was most known for her enormous heart and uncanny ability to make a friend out of anyone who crossed a day in her life. She never met a stranger a day in her life. She was deeply kind and always made a conscious effort to avoid hurting anyone's feelings. She truly wouldn't hurt a fly, which is ironic given her love of frogs, who eat them. Her kindness extended to everyone she met. Whether you had known her for years or had just met her, she made you feel welcomed and valued.
She cherished being surrounded by family, friends, laughter, and a touch of chaos wherever she went. Her greatest joy was that of others.
RaDonna will be remembered for her contagious laughter, immense compassion, her ability to make people feel seen, loved and accepted and of course, for her love of all things froggy fresh. She was a true friend, a loving and supportive mother, a caring daughter, a fun aunt, a crazy sister and an all around, kind woman.
In true RaDonna fashion, she would want you to laugh, express yourself freely, and hold your loved ones close, perhaps even picking up something frog-themed in her honor. Instead of a funeral, a "Ma croaked" celebration of life will be held at her home friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you do something kind for someone, no matter how big or small, and possibly think of RaDonna every time you cross paths with anything froggy.
She will be missed deeply, remembered with great fondness and never forgotten.
We love you, Ma.
Love always,
PoohJo
