Obituary

Richard Alan Coultas, 87, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025 after a long battle with Parkinson's, Pulmonary Fibrosis,
COPD, Congestive Heart Failure and Emphysema at North Alabama Specialty Hospital.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Russell Coultas and Wilma Koehne Coultas, and brothers, Jack Russell Coultas and William Carl
Coultas. Richard is survived by his wife of 60 years Linda Vest Coultas; children, Christopher Alan Coultas (Melanie Blythe Coultas) and Tracie
Leigh Coultas; grandchildren: Christina Campbell Waldron, Courtney Laura Campbell and Cole Alan Coultas, and great-grandchildren, Grayson
Lee Waldron and Axel Lee Waldron.

Richard was born on August 12, 1937 in Granite City, Illinois. He moved to Jonesboro, Arkansas where he spent most of his childhood. He stayed
in Jonesboro while he attended grade school through college and then moved to Decatur, Alabama where met his wife and his two children
were born. He moved to Huntsville in 1970 to pursue a 35 year career as an Allstate Insurance Agent.

Richard was an avid hunter and fisherman since the time he could walk. He held the world record for spotted bass in 1967 and he shot his
biggest 10 point buck in 1984. After retirement he enjoyed fishing and hunting everyday. Richard also enjoyed spending time with his family
and his humor was never ending. He will be missed but his hilarious stories will live on forever.

Richard did not want a funeral.  He wanted his family to come together to eat good food made by his wife, tell old stories and laugh.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hudson Alpha in Huntsville, Alabama for neurological research in hopes to find a
cure for Parkinson's disease.

Berryhill Funeral Home assisted the family.
