IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rodney Dale
Hill, Jr.
November 7, 1966 – February 16, 2026
Rodney Dale Hill, Jr., 59, of Huntsville, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026. He was born to Rodney Hill Sr. and Phyllis Hill.
Rod is survived by his wife, India Hill, and his sons: Brad Hill (wife Paige), Derek Hill, and Brooks Hill. He was a devoted grandfather to Drew Hill and Grey Hill, children of Brad and Paige, and to Murphy Hill, daughter of Derek.
He is also survived by his brothers Jeff Hill and Phillip Hill, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.
Rod spent nearly his entire life in Huntsville, raising his family in Madison County and building a life rooted in loyalty, hard work, and joy. He graduated from Huntsville High School in 1984 and went on to build a long and respected career in the aerospace industry, where he specialized in providing critical hardware and earned the admiration of colleagues who valued both his expertise and his easy humor. Rod and India were together for over twenty-two years, and they created a home filled with laughter, music, and unwavering devotion to their family.
As a father to Brad, Derek, and Brooks, he was steady, constant, and endlessly supportive. He took pride in every milestone and every accomplishment, and he provided for his children with a commitment that never wavered. His grandchildren—Drew, Grey, and Murphy—were the light of his life. Whether hosting sleepovers, getting pedicures, cheering from the stands at baseball and basketball games, or simply bragging about them to anyone who would listen, he cherished every moment and saw perfection in each of them.
Rod's friends and coworkers remember him as someone who filled every room with energy. He loved singing, dancing, laughing, spending time with the people he cared for, tending to his dogs, and manning the grill with a pride all his own. He was the definition of the life of the party, and he carried that same joyful spirit everywhere he went.
Most of all, he loved his friends and family, with his whole heart. His presence, his warmth, and his unmistakable spark will be missed beyond measure.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 21st, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home, with a funeral service immediately following. Burial will take place at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
