Roger Dale Bates, Sr., 55, of Hazel Green, passed away August 30, 2025.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Linda and Luke Bates, his first wife, Christal Bates, and his brother, Luke Bates.

He is survived by his wife, Melanie Bates; sons, Dale and Enzo; step-children, Landon, Samantha, and Ashley; granddaughters, Preslee, Lilly, Adalyn, and Deanna; brothers, Jerry Bates, Kenneth Bates, and Glenn Bates; sister, Kathy Tucker; nieces, Ashley, Sara, Hannah, Brooke, and Chelsea; and many great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 3rd, from 12:00 - 2:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home.  Service will follow at 2:00 with Jerry Bates officiating.  Burial will be in Fowlkes Cemetery. Pallbearers are Dale Bates, Jerry Bates, Landon Waldrup, Robbie Edger, John Whaley, and Dirk Manning.
