Obituary

Roger Paul Engelke was born on May 24, 1943, in Platteville, Wisconsin, to John Paul and Ruby May (Nicholas) Engelke. In 1999, he was united in marriage to Ann Elizabeth Rooker, who preceded him in death. Roger is now peacefully reunited with his beloved Ann. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Russell and Gale; and his stepsons, Donald and Michael Rooker.

As the oldest of eight children, Roger went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in mechanical engineering. He enjoyed a long, rewarding career in his field, working full-time until the age of 75. Outside of work, Roger was a talented photographer and a skilled woodworker. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior, which brings us comfort in his earthly passing as we know that he is at peace in heaven.

Roger is survived by his sons, David (Rebecca) and Daniel; his grandchildren, Kaitlin, Kelsey, Lilly, and Lincoln. He is also survived by his beloved siblings, Sandi Reichling, Milton (Virginia) Engelke, Marvin (Elaine) Engelke, Gary (Eileen) Engelke, and Cindy (Alan) McReynolds, as well as many loving nieces and nephews; and his stepdaughter, Lisa (William) Curtis.
