Roger Jones, 81, of Meridianville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born on September 26, 1943, in Mississippi, Roger lived a life marked by hard work and a deep love for his family.

As a Vietnam veteran, Roger served his country with honor. He later went on to build a successful career as the owner of Rogers Heating and Cooling and Jones & Jones Construction.

Roger was married to the love of his life, Patricia Jones, for 44 years and together they built a family and home for their kids. He is survived by his wife, Joan; his daughters, Kendra Otten (Kelley) and Sierra Jones; son Kris Jones; grandchildren Kourtney, Bradley, Zoë, and Elianna; and great-granddaughter Raelynn Otten. He is preceded in death by Father- R.L. Jones, Mother- Juanita Jones, brothers- Bobby, Billy, Jack, Ricky and Mike and sister, Patricia.  He was the best husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather — steady and strong through every season of life.

Roger had a pure heart and lived with integrity. He loved golfing, being active, cheering on Alabama football, and spending time with his family. He was good at every sport he tried and every game he played. He loved a challenge and he was always a go getter. His presence was a source of calm and comfort, and his legacy of strength and goodness will live on in his family who love him dearly.

A service to celebrate Roger's life will be held Thursday May 15th at Berryhill Funeral Home. Visitation will be 12pm-2pm with service starting at 2pm. Graveside to follow at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
