Roger L. Swafford was born December 11, 1952 and died April 20, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Louise Swafford; and brother, Mack Swafford.

He is survived by his wife, Regina Swafford; daughters, Stacey (Matt) Morring and Kelly (Jason) Tindol; grandchildren, Beth-Ann Morring and Samuel Tindol; brother-in-law, Tim (Shirley) Childers; nephew, Brandon (Kamille) Childers; great niece and nephew, Abby and Mason Childers; and a host of cousins. He was also dearly loved by his good friends, Howard and Thelma Durham.

Roger was born and raised in the Hazel Green community and lived his whole life there. He was a simple man who found value outside of material things. What he valued most was spending time in the outdoors, fishing, and working with his hands to create unique inventions. He loved his family and friends dearly, and he will be fondly remembered by them.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 26th, beginning at 2:00 PM at Taylor Cemetery.
