Ruth Ann Priest, born August 7, 1942, passed away July 26, 2025 at Hospice Family Care in Huntsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Irene Hargrove; sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and Kenneth Pressnell; sons' father, Gerald Priest and their much loved family pet, Angel.

Ruth is survived by her son, Mark Priest; sister, Barbara (Hugo) Gey; brother, Gary (Ann) Hargrove; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 3rd at Community Baptist Church at 3:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 2:00. Steve Hargrove, Marco Shaw and Seth Bullard will be officiating.  The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations may be made to Community Baptist Church Building Fund.

Ruth's happiest days were the last months of her life when her great-great-nephew visited.  She always told him she loved him when he left.  She was deeply loved and cared for Gerald Priest.  He sacrificed much in his unending devotion to her.  Upon Gerald's death this year, her son and family cared and provided for her.

Her family's prayer is in death may the struggles Ruth faced on earth be over and her soul rest in peace.
