Obituary

Sarah Ann Johnstone Klinner, 30, of Huntsville, left for heaven on Thursday, November 19th, 2015. She ended her long battle from complications of Common Variable Immune Deficiency at Huntsville Hospital. Born on October 25, 1985, she led a life of almost incomparable love and caring for family and friends. Sarah loved children, especially her two nephews, and wanted be a teacher. However, due to her disease, she took the path of an electrical engineer and landed her dream job working for the Department of Defense. She loved music and played in the Challenger Middle School and Grissom High School bands. Sarah graduated high school in 2004. She went on to attend college starting with Calhoun Community College and graduated magna cum laude in 2007 with two associates degrees and then from UAH in 2010 with a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Electrical Engineering. She married Cameron Cody Klinner on September 29, 2010. She fought and defeated Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2013. Throughout her life, Sarah struggled with health issues but never let them interfere with living her life, getting an education, and showing love and compassion for those around her.

Sarah is survived by her husband Cameron C. Klinner; father Robert Johnstone; mother Lisa Smith Johnstone; sister Laura Johnstone Halbrooks; maternal grandfather Dr. Robert Smith; maternal grandmother Ann Smith; nephews Jack and Robert Halbrooks; and numerous extended family, in-laws, coworkers and friends.

Sarah's memorial service will be held at 12pm Noon, Saturday, December 5th, 2015, St. Charles Anglican Parish, 212 Washington St., Huntsville, AL 35801. Father Byron Purves will be officiating. A reception will be held in the under-croft of the church immediately after. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made thru the Russell Hill Foundation for Hooks for Hope in the name of Sarah at the Clearview Cancer Institute.
