Scottie Jo Hutchins, 6 months, of Brownsboro, Alabama, passed peacefully in her parent's arms at 3:09 PM on Thursday, October 09, 2025 at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Scottie Jo (SJ) was a courageous and strong little girl who was battling a rare cancer (MRT) since she was 10 weeks old. Though faced with many challenges, her smile and bright personality never lost its light.

She enjoyed being outside, rocking on the front porch and listening to the wind chimes. She also loved playing, including with her toes, crinkle books, tethers and piano play mat. SJ's absolute favorite was watching Paw Patrol and listening to "The Happy Song".

Scottie touched many lives with her story and endless bravery. Though her time with us was short, the impact she made was immeasurable. SJ taught us the true meaning of strength, love, and the importance of cherishing every moment.

Scottie Jo is survived by her loving parents, Daniel and Emma, and her four legged brother, Cojo. She will be missed by her grandparents, Denise "Nene" Partain, Christopher "Pops" Partain, Julli "Juju" Partain, Tracy "Gigi" Hutchins and Scott "Papa" Hutchins. Along with her many aunts and uncles.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Scottie Jo's name.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 19th, from 2:00-4:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow with Rev. Hal Howard officiating.
