Shelby Jean Bolton, 81, the Ruth Community of Arab, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, November 25, 2023.

Shelby was born on December 8, 1941 to Willie C. Bolton and Louise E. Bolton of Fairfax, Alabama.  She was a member of Gilliam Springs Baptist Church of Arab. She retired from Saginaw GMAC after many years of faithful service. She leaves behind many dear friends.

Ms. Bolton is survived by four daughters, Rhonda Hatch, Tracy Kelly (Jesse), Lavena Henderson (James), Kelly Tumlin; 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; uncle, James Bridges and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother Louise Harden; father, Willie C. Bolton; brother, George Bolton; sisters, Anita Christa, Dottie Tumlin, Deborah Bolton, Linda Bolton; daughter, Melissa Bates; son, Charles Tumlin, Jr.; grandson, Buckey Bates; son-in-laws, Lynn Smith and Randy Hatch.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 28th from 2:30 - 4:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home, followed by service at 4 with Kelly Tumlin and Rev. James Bridges officiating.
