Shelby “Pete” Butler, 88, of Huntsville, passed away Monday May 25, 2026

Mr. Butler, retired, was a member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Butler (2019), they were married for 58 years.

Mr. Butler is survived by two sons, Charles Lee Butler (Sonja Butler), and Walter David Butler (Monica Butler); a daughter, Tamara Carlene Monroe (Donnie Monroe); and four grandchildren, Amber (Shawn Reynolds), Shelby, Madison, and Savannah.

Visitation will be Saturday May 30 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Service will be at 1:00pm with Reverends Stan Mullins and Bobby Eads officiating. Burial service will be at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
