Sheryl Guthrie, 61, of Huntsville, AL. passed away July 25, 2025, after a three-year battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Born on November 15, 1963, in Shreveport, LA. She was the daughter of the late Robert Cox and her mother, Gloria Cox.  She graduated from Arab High School in 1981.

Sheryl loved spending time at the beach, every weekend at her RV, camping, boating, riding her golf cart, and her beloved Yorkies.

She is survived by her husband, Phillip Guthrie; one son, William Guthrie (Ashara); her two daughters, Rachel Guthrie and Robin Guthrie; her only grandchild, Zoe Jane Guthrie; her mother, Gloria Burroughs; and two brothers, Bob Cox and Lindsay Cox.

Sheryl will be remembered for her kindness and her love for friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lupus.org or to the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Guthrie's family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Berryhill Funeral Home from 3:00 to 5:00 pm
