IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Stanley John
Oblawski, Jr.
September 6, 1946 – October 5, 2025
On Sunday October 5th in Athens, Alabama our husband and father, Stanley John Oblawski Jr., was received in heaven in the arms of our savior. He was 78 years old, and he was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Stanley J Oblawski Sr. and Raquel Oblawski Nieves. Stanley is survived by his wife Myriam R. Oblawski of 57 years. They had 3 children, Eva M Oblawski , Raquel M Oblawski and his only son Stanley J Oblawski the 3rd and his only grandchild Miguel M Pena.
Stanley spent 21 years in the US Army where he retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 4. He was station in Ft. Buchannan Puerto Rico (following his father's footsteps), Arlington Texas, Des Mones IA, and Alabama where he retired.
He loved baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinals. His favorite player was Roberto Clemente and Yadier Molina. He also loved westerns with John Wayne, Zorro and The Lone Ranger. He loved the Rat Pack, Frank Sinatra, Dea Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. He was a fan of the oldies, big bands and old 50's Puerto Rican classics.
A small graveside service will be held at Huntsville Memory Gardens at 10AM on October 9th, 2025, with military honors.
Berryhill Funeral Home assisted the family.
