Ronald Stephen Wesson went to be with his Lord on July 14, 2016. He was born on February 24, 1940 in Sylacauga to Talton Braxton and Ruth Glasscock Wesson.

Survivors include his wife, Sally Marple Wesson; two sons, Charles D. (Kathy) and Michael S. (Summer) Wesson; and two daughters, Deborah (Randy) Sheeks and Stephanie (Jason) Anderson; eleven grandchildren; one sister, Ruthi (David) Souders, one sister-in-law, Linda Wesson Mahan; three nephews and two nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, infant Talton Braxton, and Paul David Wesson; and his first wife, Sarah Conn Wesson in 1970.

Steve was actively involved in full-time ministry for 52 years. He served as evangelist, Associate Professor at West Coast Christian College, Chaplain at the Church of God Home for Children in Sevierville, TN., Alabama State Evangelism Director, and Senior Pastor of churches in Indiana,
Tennessee, and Alabama. He retired as Senior Pastor of Life Church Huntsville in August, 2010.

He was widely recognized as a mentor, encourager to young ministers, leader, and a man of great wisdom. His mother's prayer, that the world would be a better place because he lived, was fulfilled.

His memorial service was held at the Adamsville Church of God on Saturday, July 16, at 1:00 p.m. Interment was at the Evergreen Memorial
Cemetery in Sylacauga.
