Steven Carell Buchanan was called home to a loving Heavenly Father on June 10, 2025, from his home in Huntsville, AL.

Steven was born on October 23, 1964, in Garden Grove, Orange County, California to Michael Carrell Buchanan and Irene (White) Buchanan. Steven had one brother, Dennis Orden Buchanan, who preceded him in death along with his parents, Michael and Irene.  He married and had two children, Jessica and Andrew Buchanan.

Steven had a talent for and love of music. He could sing, play the harmonica and electric guitar and spent time in a band. Steven with his beloved brother, Dennis, sought refuge and graduated from the Downtown Rescue Mission in Huntsville, Alabama. Steven had a difficult and trying life, yet maintained a testimony of His Savior Jesus Christ. He continued to fight his many health challenges and play music until his passing.

A memorial service was held in his honor at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on June 24, 2025. Interment will be at the Alabama National Ceremony in Montevallo, Alabama.  The service may be viewed at:
