Steven W. Wales, age 70, of Huntsville, AL, passed away on October 17, 2025, from early onset Alzheimer's.

Steve was born in Booneville, MS, on March 27, 1955, to William W. Wales and Martha Holley Wales.  He graduated from Buckhorn High School in 1973.

Steve loved Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and served God, his family, church and community faithfully. He was always willing to help others. Steve was manager/owner of Southern Adventures Amusement Park for many years.  During this time, he employed countless young men and women and even helped some find Jesus in their own lives.

Steve is predeceased by his parents and his wife Karen Rhea Wales.

Steve leaves behind his wife and devoted caregiver Sheila Garden Wales, his children Ben (Virginia) Wales and Marcy (Jeremy) O'Dell, and grandchildren William and Hannah Wales. Steve also leaves behind his bonus children Jonathon Garden and Julia Garden Carter (Daniel) and their children Kelli Garden, Ryleigh Carter and Reece Carter. Also, his bonus grandchildren, Bailey, Paris, and London O'Dell. Steve was brother to 3 siblings, Len (Wayne) Johnson, Elaine Wales, and David (Monica) Wales, and 3 nephews, Nick and Jack Johnson and Aaron Wales.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Locust Grove Baptist Church in New Market, AL, on October 25th, 2025, at 2pm, with a visitation at 1pm.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to "Autism Speaks" in honor of one of Steve's favorite people, his grandson William.
