Frank Tomian "Tom" Uss, longtime parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Huntsville, Alabama, was called to his heavenly home on March 4, 2026.  He was 83.

He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Stephanie Stimac- Uss,  brothers, John (Ann) and Michael (June) Uss and beloved nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents. John and Agnes,  brother, George and his wife Joyce.

Tom was born and raised in Queens, New York. He was passionate about his love of God and St. Francis of Assisi, family and friends, his students and being Polish. Tom devoted his entire life to Franciscan service and teachings. He served in sales and marketing and retired to teaching the bible at Saint Joseph Catholic Church where he also led the Lector Ministry.

Much to the delight of his students, he incorporated his love of singing in all that he did and taught.

Heartfelt thanks go to family, friends, clergy and religious, Franciscan brotherhood, medical staff, neighbors and so many that have given us their love, prayers, gifts, and time.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 11th from 1:00 - 2:30 PM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 2:30 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2300 Beasley Ave. NW, Huntsville, AL 35816.
