With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Toney Lee Dupree, 77 of Huntsville, AL, who left us peacefully on March 18, 2025.

Toney was a man who truly loved his family, nature, and the simple joys of life. His passion for painting left behind a beautiful legacy, but more importantly, so did the love and kindness he showed to everyone he met.

Throughout his life, Toney has worn many hats— being apart of the sizzler family, being a husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather and great-grandfather, and most of all, a dear friend to so many. He had a way of making people feel welcome, valued, and loved.

He is now reunited with his parents, Charles and Louise Dupree; his sister, Shirley Petty; his daughter, Tina Dupree Chisolm; and his two grandsons, Nicholas and Paul Vernon Dupree, who passed before him.

Toney's memory lives on in those who loved him most—his sister, Evelyn Vlahakes, and his children, Anthony Dupree, Chris (Monda) Dupree, Brian Dupree, and April (Robby) Cheatham. His love extended to his seven grandchildren, eleven great- grandchildren, many nieces, and dear friends.

To honor and celebrate Toney's incredible life, we will gather at Berryhill Funeral Home on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 2 PM to 4 PM. We invite all who knew and loved him to come share memories, laughter, and love as we say goodbye to an amazing man who touched so many lives.
