It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dreya, December 22, 2024. She was a beloved daughter, sister, and friend. In her 17 tender years of life, she brought light and love to everyone around her. Her kind heart, infectious smile and boundless spirit made impressions on everyone she encountered.

Dreya was a junior in high school, where she was known for her artistic talent in makeup production for theatre, her participation in JROTC, and her dedication to helping others. Dreya aspired to a career in forensic anthropology. Her passion for creativity and her ability to make others feel special were truly remarkable.

She is survived by her parents, Tammy Ann (Lang) Bennich and Steven Craig Lamar Bennich; Grandmother Paula Ann (Keesee) Bennich, her siblings, Brittney Elizabeth (Bennich) Wheeless, Dylan Alexander Andrews, Gage Michael Shockley, and Johnathan Chase Lee Jones; and a loving community of family and friends who will forever cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Ramona Louise (King) Payne and Gerald Alvah Payne (Jerry), Howard Henderson Bennich Jr. (Benny), and cousins Renee (Treece) Slone and Stephen Michael Slone.

A celebration of Tristan Dreya Bennich's life will be held on Saturday, December 28, at Berryhill. Family and friends are invited to honor her legacy from 6:00–8:00 p.m.

Though her time with us was far too short, Dreya's spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.
