Vickie Lynn Blackwell, a lifelong resident of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on April 29, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born on July 12,1964 to the late Bobby and Inez Patterson. For 43 years she shared a life of devotion and partnership with her husband Mark Blackwell. Vickie was the heart of her home known for her vibrant spirit and her love of a good laugh. She found greatest joy in the in the company of family and friends, often spending hours of crafting alongside her daughter Heather. Of all the roles she held, being "Grandma" to her granddaughter Olivia, was perhaps her favorite. Vickie's warmth was boundless no matter the time of day or how she was feeling. She always greeted Olivia with her signature "Hi, my baby" - a phrase that will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew her.  

Her legacy of love and laughter lives on through her husband Mark, her son Chris and his wife Kayla and her daughter Heather and the light of her life her granddaughter Olivia. She will be deeply missed by her extended family and a wide circle of friends who were fortunate enough to know her.
