Vickie passed away peacefully on October Twelfth, 2025 at Huntsville Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, after years of battling chronic illness. Vickie was born to the late Charles and Billie Anderson on Oct 13, 1963, and grew up in Shady Grove, Tennessee. After marrying Tab Slayton, she worked with him at the family business, "Slayton's Food Valu," where she was loved by employees and patrons alike. Vickie loved her family immensely and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved and devoted her life to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and loved to worship Him. She could often be found reading her Bible or listening to Gospel Music. Vickie enjoyed spending her time cooking, doing arts and crafts, and tending to her flowers. She will be remembered for her love, her faith, and her sense of humor.

Vickie is survived by her husband, Tab Slayton and daughter, Erica Slayton Brannon, both of Huntsville, Alabama. As well as her brother Steve (Nan) Anderson of Flintville, Tennessee, sister Kim Simmons of Fayetteville, Tennessee, Sister-in-law Sue Anderson of Fayetteville, Tennessee, Sister-in-law Anita (Kenneth) Williams of Huntsville, Alabama, Sister-in-law Melanie (Gerry) Stevenson of Huntsville, Alabama, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, the late Charles H. Anderson and Billie J. Anderson of Flintville, Tennessee; brother Ricky (Sue) Anderson of Fayetteville, Tennessee, and In-laws Billy G. Slayton and Eunice M. Slayton of Huntsville, Alabama.

Visitation for family and friends will be 5-8 PM Thursday evening October 16th, and Funeral Service on October 17th at 11 AM, both at Berryhill Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Flintville, TN.
