Wanda Priest Yelverton, 61, of Hazel Green, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at her home.  She retired from Madison County Commission in 2020 after 32 years of employment.  She loved Elvis, traveling, camping, and spending time with her friends.  Wanda had a special love for the Lord and His children, and her family was her pride and joy.

She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Priest, and brothers, Tony Priest and Keith Priest.

Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Will Yelverton; stepson, Taylor Yelverton; mother, Jean Priest; brothers, Steve (Sherrie) Priest and Larry Priest; sister, Donna (Mark) Shockley; sisters-in-law: Pam Priest Taylor and Janet Marlow; brother-in-law, Melvin (Terri) Yelverton; nephew, Jonathan (Bree) Priest; niece, Bethany (Robby) Schrimsher; step-nephew, Tom (Leah) Smith; great-nephews, Beau Priest, Ellis and Stetson Scrimsher; great-nieces: Jacey Claire, Jordyn Schrimsher, and Sailor Priest; and step-great-nephew, Ethan Smith.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 1st from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home. Chapel service will be Friday, February 2nd at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dale Cantrell, Bro. Ronnie Sisk, Bro. Mark Shockley, and Rev. Rodney Underwood officiating.  Burial will be in Charity Cemetery.
