William "Bill" Robert Ammons was born on February 14, 1953, and passed away on March 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was a devoted father, proud Gpaw, respected colleague, and loyal friend who touched the lives of many.

Bill proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. Following his service, he earned his Master's degree from Jacksonville State University, continuing his pursuit of learning and excellence throughout his life. He worked many years at Marshall Space Flight Center, where he received numerous awards. Then moved on to continue his career at the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), where he earned more outstanding awards for his hard work he gained the respect and admiration of his coworkers for his hard work, knowledge, and commitment. Totaling 43 years of dedication to the US Government.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother and father.

He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory: his son, Ben Ammons, and wife Kelly, and their son Carter; Ben's mother, Tina Laude; his daughter, Shannon Boudreaux, and husband Paul, and their sons Conner and Eli and daughter Nathalie; his daughter, Caitlan Barnes, and husband Matt, and their sons Gauge, Axle, and Cruz; and his daughter, Erin Carroll, and husband Johnathan, and their son Christian and daughters Taylor, Penelope, and Hazel.

Known affectionately as "Gpaw," Bill found his greatest joy in spending time with his family. He will be remembered as a loving father, proud Gpaw, trusted friend, and dedicated coworker whose legacy will live on through those who loved him.

His kindness, wisdom, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
