William John Eckert Jr., 59, of Huntsville passed away at home on Wednesday June 3, 2026. Bill was better known as Wild Bill or Flatline Bill. He was born on September 24, 1966 to William John Eckert, Sr. and Judith Eckert in San Jose, California. Bill loved fishing, riding motorcycles and his country. He served his country through his service in the Army and his service to the Honor Guard at the American Legion. The thing that Bill loved the most in this world was his family.

He was proceeded in death by his parents; William John Eckert, Sr. and Judith Eckert. He is survived by his wife, Donna Eckert, two daughters; Katie Duncan and Michaela Duncan of Toney, his brothers, George Eckert and Chuck Eckert (Julie) and his eight grandchildren; Sophie, Harper, Meredith, Stella, Carter, Avery, Colton and Aria. He was looking forward to the birth of his ninth grandchild. He is also survived by a host of friends and extended family.

Bill’s legacy will live on through all the memories and the stories. He was a funny, caring and loving man that you couldn’t help but love. He was always making people laugh and he loved everyone. He will never be forgotten, and he will always be missed.
