William David "GDaddy" Hayle, Jr, 73, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025.

Mr. Hayle is survived by his loving wife, Paula Hayle; daughter, Shannon Fox and her husband Tom Fox; grandchildren Lainey Fox, Emily Fox, Sophie Fox, and Henry Fox.

He is preceded by his first wife of 52 years, Barbara Allen Hayle; his parents William David and Sue Hayle; and his brother Greg Hayle.

Mr. Hayle graduated from Buckhorn High School in 1970 and retired from the US Postal Service in 2007.  Since retiring, he spent most of his time doing the things he loved:  spending time with his family, watching Alabama football, camping, fishing, playing cards, and cooking food - he's famous for his fried fish, hushpuppies, and cauliflower salad.  The rest of the time, he was always busy helping others.  He was a care-giver at heart and loved to serve others.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Berryhill Funeral Home from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. The service will immediately follow in the chapel at 2:00 pm with Bro. Hal Howard officiating. Burial will take place at Valhalla Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, David asked for donations to be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital OR to The Ark of Huntsville.
