William Lamont "Monte" Sparkman Jr., 62 of Elora,Tennessee, passed away January 25, 2026. He was born June 21,1963 to William Lamont and Faye Stone Sparkman Sr.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Sparkman was owner and operator of the family business Sparkman Marble and Granite Company, Est. 1892.

Monte was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time on the mountain riding his horse, Jeep and four-wheeler.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lynn Sparkman; one brother, Jay Sparkman; sister, Mary Jane Purdom and her sons Kendall and Alex; other family members Dennis Dean and his wife Lacey and their sons Jacob and Joshua; mother in law Mary Snipes.

The family will receive friends Saturday January 31, 2026 from 12:00pm until 2:00 PM at Holmes St. United Methodist Church with a Celebration of Life service following at 2:00 PM with Pastor Miriam Smith officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Holmes St. United Methodist Church.
