Maxie David McGaha, 84, of Gurley, Alabama passed away Sunday morning at Shepherds Cove in Albertville, AL. Mr. McGaha is a veteran of the Marine Corps and the Korean War and he was the owner and operator of Quality Machine Co. in Guntersville, AL. His first wife, Ruby Thompson McGaha, his daughter Cathy Anita McGaha, 7 brothers, and one sister preceded him in death Mr. McGaha is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Glover McGaha; his daughter, Frances Gayle Burroughs; his son, David Lee McGaha (Sharron); and three step-children: Greg Glover (Harriet), Scott Glover (Jess), and Lee Ann Pounders. He is also survived by his brothers: Claude McGaha, Cliff McGaha, Tommy McGaha; his sister, Clara Scaggs, 8 grandchildren, 7 great- grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home, followed by a Chapel service Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. James Harrell and Rev. Harold Wicks officiating.
