James Thomas Jones, III,
63, of Madison, passed away
Saturday. He was preceded in death by his parents, James T. Jones, Jr., and Dorothy "Dot" Virginia Lee Jones, and two brothers, Glenn Jones and Pierre Jones. He is survived by his son, Heath Jones; daughters, Marki Jones Hackett, and Jessica Jones Wilson; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Robbie Saint, Nelva "Fifi" Anderson, and Bonnie Adams; three aunts; four uncles; and, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as many other relatives and friends.

He served in the United States Marine Corps, having joined during the Vietnam War, and following his honorable discharge after eight years of service (attaining the rank of Staff Sgt.), he went to work with the FAA as an Air Traffic Controller in Los Angeles, California. He was very proud of both of those accomplishments, as well as attaining his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. He had a deep passion for hunting and fishing, going any chance he could, and also enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his family.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 18, 2015, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM, at Berryhill Funeral Home, with a Celebration of Life Service in the Chapel immediately following. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, Disabled American Veterans, or Fisher House Foundation.
