IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alexander Ryhiem
Garcia
November 1, 2002 – May 12, 2025
Alexander Ryhiem Garcia, 22, of Huntsville, Alabama gained his wings on Monday, May 12, 2025 at 6:49 pm.
Alex is survived by his mother, Jane A. Garcia, and his father Marquevious Brunson; brothers Anthony Garcia, Darius Martin, and Bryce Martin of Huntsville, Alabama; Jaylen Batchelor, Jaden Roberts from Auburn, Alabama; sisters Carmen Batchelor and Katie Brunson from Auburn, Alabama; along with numinous aunts and uncles, first cousins and a handful of second cousins from Alabama and Tennessee.
Alex is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Janie Garcia and Juan Garcia and first cousin Nicole Nunez.
Alex is remembered as a loving, charismatic, full of energy and life son, brother, nephew, cousin and all that knew him. He will be missed dearly in the community. Alex was such a happy young man with an infectious smile that followed him throughout life. Alex was always able to put a smile on someone's face. He was a mender of the heart, the pick me upper type of person. He had a smile that one would love to see, just his smile could put a smile on someone else's face. Alex never knew a stranger, at a party he would go up to someone he didn't know and would introduce himself, young or old, he would make you feel included.
Alex was an active young man by playing football and basketball at a younger age. He continued the love of basketball into his high school years. Alex played for the Buckhorn High School Bucks assisting the team in many wins. In 2017, Alex shot the winning 3-pointer to win the area county championship for the Buckhorn Middle School Bucks. Basketball was Alex's safe haven, while on the basketball court all his worries or troubles would fade away into the distance. Alex played division 1 basketball for the Arkansas Baptist Buffaloes, in 2021-2022. Alex then coached his younger brothers, giving them pointers, strategizing game plans that would prove to win games for their teams.
Family was very important to him. Alex looked up to his older brother Anthony Garcia, telling him his deepest darkest secrets and desires. Both the boys would show their mother much love by acting silly and sassy at times. Anthony was Alex's best friend and his mother, Jane was the one woman in his life he loved with his whole heart. Alex thrived when his extended family would get together, cutting up and infecting everyone with that smile of his. Alex had only one wish in life, for his Garcia family to come together and be the strong force he knew the Garcia's could be.
Alex will truly be missed, it's not Goodbye forever, but we'll see him later.
