Anthony "Tony" Keith Howard, Sr., 61, of Huntsville, passed away January 9, 2025.

Tony was born in Huntsville, AL to Gene Benson and Janie Bertus.  Tony lived most of his life in and around North Alabama.  While Tony had many jobs in his life, he was known by most as a carpenter and handyman. He was always willing to help his family,and lived with his dad and step-mother during the last year and a half.  Tony had many struggles in life but, turned his life back over to the Lord.

He is survived by his mother, Janie Bertus; father, Gene (Debbie) Benson; sisters, Julie Whitworth and Marja (Tony) Moore; stepsisters, Debbie Gold and Donna Bertus; stepbrothers: Michael Atnip, Michael Bertus, Tracy Atnip, Drew Stockman, and Heath Stockman; daughter, Sheree Howard; son, Anthony Howard, Jr. (Vera); grandchildren: Dezarae Pate, Makayla Lewis, Leah Howard, and Alayna Howard; step-grandchildren, Makiya and Alicia Mason, and many nieces and nephews as well as a special friend; Kathy Golden and Tommie Wright.

Mr. Howard is preceded in death; sister, Cynthia Renee Gaught.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 15th from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home, followed by service at 12:00.
