Doris Marie Hughes Chargualaf, 82, of Huntsville AL, passed away on 1/22/2025 after a long battle with lung cancer.

Doris was born on August 6, 1942, to John Cecil and Margaret Hughes in Elkton, TN. In the summer of 1958, Doris met Francisco LG Chargualaf. Doris and Frank married and went on to have three children, Danny Hughes Chargualaf, Ronnie Joseph Chargualaf, and Shannon Raquel Chargualaf Dempsey.

Doris was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and her pets. Doris was preceded in death by brothers Pete and Edwin Hughes.

She is survived by her husband Frank, sisters Joyce and Jo, three children Danny, Ronnie, and Shannon along with grandchildren; Jason, Eric, Spencer, Ashley, Chelsea, Brandon, Bronson, Sarah, Ronnie Jr., Francesca, and Sebastian, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Berryhill Funeral Home on Wednesday January 29 with visitation from 1-2pm and service and graveside to follow.
