Dylan John Esterling, 27, of Huntsville, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021.

Dylan was a native of Lawrenceville, GA and a resident of Madison County for over 21 years.  He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served in Africa as part of the 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion. He was a part of the elite group of Force Recon Marines.

He was an avid artist and gamer. He was extremely passionate about everything he decided to focus on. He loved the ocean and would prefer to go there everyday if possible. After leaving the Marines, he lived in Puerto Rico where he worked providing snorkeling and rainforest tours.

He was a force of joy and excitement as a son, brother, and friend.

Survivors include his mother, Holly Lynn Hinkle; father and stepmother Robert E. and Debra Cathy Esterling; two brothers, Clay Robert Esterling (Jacquelyn) and Logan Jack Esterling; stepbrother and family: Gary, Cheryl, Garrett and Charlie Wolfe; stepbrother and family: Nathan, Ashley, Timber, and Jade Wolfe; special friend, Seth Stephens; maternal grandfather, Johnny Bert Hinkle; grandparents, Bob and Kim Esterling, Jack and Peggy Martin, and Jack and Key Parker; nephew, Lucas Esterling; niece, Lily Esterling; two uncles, Rick Esterling (Beth), and James Thor Hinkle (Sherri); one aunt, Noel Godwin (Rusty); and a host of other relatives and many friends.

No services are planned.  Berryhill Funeral Home assisted the family.
