Edith Jewel Wachter, age 84 of Huntsville passed away April 16, 2019.

She is survived by four sons Joe Wachter, Steve & Kim Wachter, John & Rhonda Wachter and Jack & Cheryl Wachter; three daughters Linda & Joe Schopper, Diana & Richard Lawson and Eva & Dale Jahnke; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters Darlene Hetler and Carolyn Klocke; and one brother Jim Blocker.

Mrs. Wachter was preceded in death by her husband George Wachter, son Dennis Wachter, brother Don Blocker, sister Wanda Burgin and her parents Jack & Eva Dee Blocker.

She was a native of Leachville, AR, and a resident of Madison County for over 57 years, and was a member of Mastin Lake Road Church of Christ.

Visitation is Saturday, April 20, 2019, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Mastin Lake Church of Christ followed by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. officiated by Scotty Sparks. Burial will be in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of North Alabama or AGAPE of North Alabama.
