Enola Gay Lanier or Gay, as every one called her, passed away Saturday, May 25th, at the age of 71, in her home in Huntsville, surrounded by her family after an extended yet brave battle with cancer.

She is survived by her daughters, Amy Tether and Amanda Bradford, her sisters, Carol Adams, Irene Knight, and Paula Licketto, her brothers, Rickey Sharp and Johnny Sharp, many grandchildren and one great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Murphy and Viola Sharp, her sister Pam Powers, and her son, Casey Tether.

She will always be remembered for her high energy, small but mighty stature, and her deep love of family and friends.

Graveside services will be held, Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 1:00 pm, at Plainview Cemetery in Hazel Green, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Clearview Cancer Institute through the Russel Hill Cancer Foundation for Patient Assistance, Research, Education, or Area of Greatest Need.
